HANDICAPS
IRC and MOCRA entrants shall forward a copy of their IRC or MOCRA handicap with their entry.
Portsmouth Yardstick boats shall complete the handicap form provided. Primary and Secondary PY boats in standard configuration will be initially handicapped in accordance with the 2007 RYA Portsmouth publication. All other PY boats will be issued a Trial Number . Trial Numbers will be based on Recorded Numbers or other validated data. All PY handicap numbers may be adjusted by regular assessment based on RYA guidelines, but Primary and Secondary numbers will not be adjusted by more than 2%

Open sports boats & boats with no cabin
At the discretion of the race committee, boats complying with the following minimum requirements may be permitted to race. Boats shall be self righting from 90 degrees and the cockpits shall be self draining. If class rules provide a higher standard, then class rules apply
All Other Racing : Below is a list of safety equipment to which all competing boats must comply. Each item of equipment shall function properly and be suitable for its intended purpose. It shall be of a size, type, capacity and design adequate for the intended use and the size and type of boat on which it is carried. Each item shall be securely stowed and ready for immediate use. Any additional equipment required by class rules must also be carried.
