Rules & Conditions of Entry
RULES
Racing will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-
Class Rules will apply for J24’s, Sunbeam, MOCRA, and Working Boats
ENTRIES
Entries will be accepted only from owners or representatives who have completed and
signed a valid entry form, paid the correct entry fee, and whose boat displays sail
numbers in compliance with RRS Appendix G. Under sixteen-
Boats must race in their designated class. The FSC race committee reserves the right to alter/combine classes and change/adapt entry conditions as they see fit in light of entries received.
Completed entry forms together with correct entry fee, IRC Handicap Certificate if required, should be sent to FSC. Hon. Treasurer, 6 Trevethan Rise, Falmouth. TR11 2DX to arrive not later than 48 hours before racing. It is strongly recommended that all competitors complete a form CG66 and lodge it with Falmouth Coast Guard.
LIABILITY.
The safety of the boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/representative who must ensure that the boat is fully found, thoroughly seaworthy and manned by a crew sufficient in number and experience who are fit to face all conditions likely to be encountered. The owner/competitor must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging, sails and all gear. He must ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained, stowed and in date and that the crew know where it is kept and how it is used.
NOTICE OF RACE for 2008
Neither the establishment of these conditions nor any inspection of the boat shall in any way limit or reduce the absolute responsibility of the owner/competitor. The crew is none the less advised to satisfy themselves as to the experience of the skipper and the adequacy of all safety equipment and insurance arrangements.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS.
Sailing Instructions will be posted out to competitors or are available for collection at the Club. Instructions for Special Races will also be displayed on the club notice board.

These are all detailed in the Sailing Instructions, which are available prior to entry if required.
