At present Chris Jelliss produces reports on Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evening racing, from the vantage point of a little Trifle. As he will be the first to admit, this does not provide an account of all the classes, or even of all of U class. Nor does it purport to present a carefully balanced and unbiased view. We would welcome alternative viewpoints. “Let a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend.” If you have any way with words and could contribute a few lines, please contact us. You would be most welcome.
Photos are usually provided by Barry Kelly or Sue and Malcolm Clark, but submissions from any other photographers will ensure their inclusion in the pantheon of local heroes. Taking photographs while attending to spinnakers, tillers and courses is hard. But worthwhile.
For 2013, 2014 and 2015, most reports were written by the ineffable Harold Martin, but a few were contributed by Chris Jelliss, Kaye Price, Bill Hunt or even Dave Owens and latterly Jack Penty. For 2013–15 those written by Chris, Kaye, Bill or Dave are identified.
Sadly, in 2015 Harold hung up his quill and no longer stuns us with his limpid prose, but in 2016 Chris Jelliss has enthusiastically followed Harold's lead on his trusty iPad developing an idiosyncratic and engaging style. The Trifle Times has a loyal and devoted readership.
